Madrid District 7: Chamberi |
| Madrid - Madrid Districts | |||
The architectural style of Chamberi district lies in the extraordinary abundance of modernist buildings, neo-Gothic and neo-Mudejar that survived, not only neighboring houses (especially in the neighborhoods of Almagro and Trafalgar), but also institutions (Asylums of San Diego and Almagro, the schools of San Rafael and El Porvenir, el Patronato de Enfermos, etc..), churches (Los Angeles, Salesas Reales, Santuario del Perpetuo Socorro) and infrastructure (Parque de Bomberos, Canal de Isabel II, etc. ). It also houses two jewels of rationalism: the Vallehermoso Service Station and the Casa de las Flores. Chamberi is divided into six neighborhoods: Gaztambide, Arapiles, Trafalgar, Almagro, Rivers Roses and Vallehermoso Madrid - Chamberi photo gallery by Pablo Arias © Flickr
