Madrid District 9: Moncloa-Aravaca |
| Madrid - Madrid Districts | |||
Moncloa-Aravaca first appeared as a term, formed by the meanings of Aravaca Moncloa and joined by a hyphen to name one of the territories in which administratively divided the city of Madrid in the context of so-called 'decentralization' that the Madrid city council launched in the eighties. This municipal district, the third area of Madrid, is a merger of neighborhoods adjacent to Madrid downtown, the old town of Aravaca also as newer neighborhoods like Valdezarza or Valdemarin. The district of Moncloa-Aravaca has the following neighborhoods: Casa de Campo, Argüelles, Ciudad Universitaria, Valdezarza, Valdemarín, El Plantío, Aravaca..
